The concept of sterility employed in today’s health-care facilities has differed significantly from the past. The development of techniques for measurement of the resistance of micro organisms to physical or chemical destruction processes, new knowledge regarding the capabilities of biological and chemical indicators to assess processes parameters and the general maturing of micro biological sciences have contributed to a better understanding and control of sterilization processes. Because of the dramatic changes in the field of sterilization it is critical that the professional responsible for and involved with processing have a solid scientific understanding and educational preparation. However, the principles and methods of reprocessing and sterilization are no longer taught to that extent in our universities. To bridge this gap, MIMS Academy has prepared a comprehensive syllabus for Sterilization Technology Course.
The aim of the sterilization technology course is to provide an educational programme through which a knowledgeable, capable and dedicated generation will be created to uphold the quality of standardized sterilization in the health care facilities.
